Now I know everybody has seen at least one person wearing a pair of the infamous Crocs. They're plastic and have a name of a vicious animal, what more could you want? They came into existence in 2002 and have been taking the world by storm ever since. People wearing them claim that they are comfortable, but personally i have no idea. They appear to be a shoe more fitted towards boating, beaches, or pools. Even so I've seen these shoes everywhere. I thought people were pushing it by wearing Uggs to school, but Crocs are just pushing it over the edge. This foot covering is a fashion disaster and it looks just as bad as people wearing socks with thong sandals.
The biggest problem with these shoes, is that they pose a health hazar
d. Many small children have gotten their Crocs stuck in escalator stairs. They also pose a tripping hazard. Many times I have seen small children trip over these so called shoes. In the age of personalization, not even the Crocs have been left out. They now have these tiny clip-on type things called "Jibbitz." Supposedly you stretch the holes around the base of your Jibbit and then your Crocs are personalized. These also pose a health hazard as they are small and can fit in childrens mouth, often causing choking.
