Flips Flops are often associated with relaxation, the beach, and Floridians in general. On any given day at Cypress you will see at least twenty people wearing flip flops. The most popular kind of flips flops are most likely the thong variety. Even guys wear these. Personally I don't think they are that comfortable, after a while the thong starts to dig into that space in the middle of my toes. But apparently many people enjoy wearing them.
I find it absolutely hilarious when I see people wearing Flip Flops when it is extremely cold outside. You would think that people would know how to dress according to the weather conditions, but apparently not. Some people try to cover their feet by putting on socks with the flip flops. It's not a good look, even for the old men that try and pull it off. Another not so pretty thing is that if you walk around in dirt a lot, all of that dirt starts to get on the soles of your foot, really really gross.
Well Veronica, i absolutely adore sandals. Ever since I moved to Florida from Boston, its become a custom in my daily wardobe. Knowing also, that I am within the twenty random people wearing sandals. I just got to have the sandals, that i enjoy very, very much.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the whole wearing socks with the flip-flops. I find that combination quite ridiculous. If the weathers, and you have the time to put on a pair of sock... Hmm, it would be a good idea of putting on a pair of shoes. Duhh!!

I am ALL about flip flops. There is nothing like a good pair of flops! If I'm not bare foot than there is a 99 percent chance I am wearing flip flops. I wear them to school, to the beach, to work, and any where else I go. I usually only wear sneaks when it is absolutely a necessity.
ReplyDeleteI have never had that problem with the thong riding up me haha. I usually wear reef flip flops because they are just my favorite. They can get wet, they are comfortable, and stylish.
I absolutely love flip flops!! I would wear them all the time if i could. They make me feel happy! haha weird I know. Believe it or not i dont like to wear them at the beach. I dont know whats wrong with me. Flip flops are usually a lot easier to just slip on and go. And i totally agree with the wearing socks with flip flops. It should be a crime. It just looks so bad and its not confertable at all.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger I hated wearing flip flops because they were so uncomfortable when they gave me bruises in between my toes. Flip flops nowadays are the only things i mostly wear. They go good with any outfit on any given day. Yes, it might be cold outside but you still see many people wearing flip flops.
ReplyDeleteThere's also the downside of wearing flip flop. Like you said, dirt can get inside and the weather conditions. They're is also the discomfort some feel when wearing them all day.
