Ugly Ugly Uggs.

I know everybody has seen these on many people's feet. They are terribly ugly, even so I myself own a pair. Your feet haven't been truly warm until you've worn a pair of Uggs. The outrageous thing about these boots is the fact that despite the tremendous heat in California, Florida, and even Texas, people continue to wear them. The people that made them most popular, who else but the celebrities. Logically I would think that to wear these boots in such tremendous heat that your feet would sweat. I've never worn mine when it's hot outside, and I don't plan on doing so, therefore the world may never know about the whole foot sweating thing.

Uggs come in many different colors, but the classics; black, chestnut, and sand look the best. (If it's even possible for them to look good.) They tend to look even more decent when the tops are folded down to reveal the wool on the inside. The best component of Uggs boots are the warm and wool filled inside. In my opinion Uggs are the absolute worst looking shoes or boots ever, but even so their hideous-ness will not stop me from wearing my beloved boots. It will keep me from wearing them in non-winter months though.

Back to Sparta with the Gladiator Sandals!!

Lately I have been seeing alot of these sandals that look like they came straight out of the movies 300 or Gladiator[ which is understandable seeing their porper name], I've heard of the retro look but this is taking it waaay back. Apparently this is not the first time this look has been brought back. I was talking to my mom and she said that they were also popular in the 60's and 70's. Which makes alot of sense, seeing as they did wear toga like clothing. I personally don't like the look, footwear has adapted alot in the past centuries, why revert back to it's basic roots?

It's not so much that they are from the Greecian/Roman age, it's just the obnoxious amount of times that i have seen them on a daily basis. Now some of them are actually cute, when it's simple and not too gauty. The worst ones I've seen are the ones with rhinestones and the unecessary brightly colored straps and what not. In my opinion gladiator sandals look the best when paired with a nice white or cream colored...toga. If you really want to make it look good, you should pair it with a laurel[it's that wreath type thing the Romans put on their heads to show authority.] All in all I think that these sandals belong back in time with Ceasar and Brutus. Those people that reenact history they can wear them too. Tell me what you think about these infamous sandals.
