Bandwagon much??

I couldn't believe it either, Nike has in a sense jumped on the band wagon of the gladiator sandal. I know these shoes are obnoxiously ugly or weird looking, but they took me by surprise. This isn't the first time they have tried to follow trends either, they also fashioned there own Mary Janes flats, which don't look bad either. My problem is they usually decide to re-create these styles while they are on the decline. Regardless of what I think Nike will continue to make money.

It isn't all bad though, these shoes actually look pretty nice. They stick with the traditional Gladiator style while adding their signature Nike symbol. It looks like a mixture of nylon fabric and leather [a favorite fabric of Nike] Unfourtunately these shoe are only available in Paris.
They cost 80 euros, which is about $111.11.

Do you think Nike should continue to copy popular trends??

You love them don't you?

These shoes are just weird. They kind of look like they cut holes in the sides so your feet can breathe. So these are another pair of Reebok's pump shoes, which means there is a pump on the front and there are air pockets inside the shoe. When you pump the air pump supposedly it makes the shoes more comfortable for the wearer. Apparently a lot of people like these shoes because they make about four different colorways a month.

Like many other shoes I have posted, if you wear these you will truly be unique. I've never seen anybody wear these shoes. These colors are inspired by the shipping companies DHL and FedX. There is no definite price for these shoes, they range from about $100 to $ 1000, depending on the rarity of the pair.
Tell me would you wear these for a million dollars?

Carry me to bed shoes

These shoes are sooo high that you will have to have your significant other carry you into the room. The good thing about these shoes is that you won't fall out from your ankles, most likely just falling sideways. They resemble a pair of heels that were worn in a season of America's next top model, to test if they could properly walk down the runway. Personally I would never wear these, because of the eminent death they would cause.
If you like these heels they are made by Jil Sanders and they start at a whopping $880, and that's without shipping to your house. I don't recommend buying these, unless you buy and increased insurance plan as well. They only come in black, so if you are brave enough they will match your entire wardrobe.
Tell me what you think about these.

What are these??

These "shoes" are from Lacoste. They look like some type of plastic, but I can't be too sure. Lacoste's shoes usually look a lot nicer and this is their one mistake. They say that it's more of a concept shoe, like those cars that they have at auto shows, but never really make it into production. These shoes are very over the top. It looks like you just wrap the fabric around your leg and it would somehow stick.

I'm sure if anyone wanted a pair of these they would have to pay an obnoxious amount. You know for custom sizes, shipping, and of course to pay for the actual material. But they are releasing 850 pairs calf-boots for women and ankle boots for men. They will be released June 10th.

Tell me would you wear these?

I'm on a boat! well not really...

Theses shoes in particular have no specific brand that they come from, because I've seen them everywhere. What is this sudden obssesion with boat shoes. I never see anyone wearing them on boats. I always see them walking down the street and in school and in the mall. I always wonder if these people are planning on going to a boat or just left a boat. Well anyways, These shoes were popularized by celebrities. [big surprise right] Kanye West has some, Jay-Z and some others I'm sure. But the thing is they all have boats or go on boats frequently.

I think they are called boat shoes because of the strings on the sides, but i could be wrong. Overall these are nice shoes. I just think that people should wear them in the appropriate place, on a boat! Like that song by that guy and T-Pain. They had on boat shoes I believe.
Tell me what you think about them...
p.s. I have on a nautical themed pashmina afgan! lolz.

Zip them on up

Saw these shoes and to me they are cute-ish. They are unique because the flower type decoration is made of the same leather from the shoe and zippers. They were created by Pour la Victoire a french shoe designer, who by looking at his other shoes, is very creative. They think out of the box and design shoes strictly for the already established fasionista. These shoes are unique because with a flower like that they are just begging for a double take. Usually the flowers on shoes are made up of a different kind of material, but Pour la Victoire chose to keep with the same fabric: leather. The zippers on the exterior of the flower just add to the shoes overall magnificence.

This particular pair of shoes comes in black, teal gator skin, and tan. As usual with such unique shoes comes a high price, which is $225. So as they say in the magazines this is the item to slurge on. For me these would be the shoes to wear to a huge party, but not so huge that dozens of people will spill drinks on you.
check out the black ones here: Pour la Victoire
tell me what you thik about these.

Reuse a shoe.

Instead of talking about some weird shoes i found on the Internet or shoes that i lust over over and over again, I'm gonna tell you about what you can do with those old beat up shoes just taking up space in our closet.

Nike, like the rest of the world, is on a green rampage. They started back in 1990 and have been running strong ever since. With reuse a shoe you drop them off at any Nike store in the specified bin. Then your shoes get shipped to one of their processing centers all over the world where they grind them up. when it's all said and done your old shoes could become part of a basketball court, track, or any other type of playing field. Sometimes they even turn old shoes into new shoes and other apparel.

We recycle everything else, why not your shoes as well. You can recycle the shoes as a group or by yourself.

Happy Socks!

I know these aren't shoe, but they still go one your feet right? This company Happy Socks specializes in well what else but socks. If you go to their website you will see how organized they are. Socks are truly these peoples passion. Their site is organized into the number of colors, styles, patterns, and other aesthetic characteristics. They have just about every color under the sun.
Unforunately such a specialty comes at a high price, with each pair starting at $10. But it's only because this is all this company does all day everyday. They even have socks that you can wear in high heels. [that's pretty cool] If you like them check out their site here: Happy Socks

You may need some crutches for these.

I know what you're thinking, "these are delicious!" Just kidding, they don't look that safe. Apparently these are the shoes that were worn during Galliano's fashion shoe. I'm sure the clothes looked great, but I'm sure everyone's mind was on these. Galliano is probably just trying to make his models taller and show off his clothes. From first glance all the styles have numerous straps to ensure that the models stay attached to the shoes. Probably not so good if any of them fell.
Unfortunately for any of you that might like these, they aren't availiable for sale to the public. It's for the best because you'd most likely fall and break some bones. But if you like Galliano and want to see more of his work check it out: Galliano

Strap 'em up!

I have nothing against strappy shoes, but these are a bit much. They are rather cute though. The extravagant strappiness [don't think that's a word, but whatevez] of the sandal is very similar to the gladiator sandals. Although this particular look is a bit more sophisticated. These shoes are good if one wants others to focus solely on their feet. The diverse patterns of the straps command their own attention, while not bringing your attention away from the entire shoe as a whole.
Of course individuality has it's price, and these come in a a whopping 1,040 euros. [about $1,344.41 in America] I'm sure none of you can afford them but if you like them a lot visit Brown's and check them out for yourself. If you do get them they would go perfectly with anything black, red, silver ,or white.

Five fingers, or toes??

When I first saw these I thought the were just the coolest concept ever. They are called "Five Fingers," but clearly they have five separated toes. Apparently these shoes are great for running, water sports, hiking, and yoga. In 2007 it was named one of the best inventions by Time magazine. I would love to have a pair of these to take to the beach, since i despise sand.

These shoes come from a company called Vibram[here's their website: Vibram] They run at about $75 at about and are well worth the money. They have four different models; classics, sprint, KSO, and flow, each one different because of it's main usage. For women they have six colors and the men have eight.

I think these are pretty cool, tell me what you think.

I guess these are peep-toes!?!

While i was doing my usual Internet browsing these caught my eye. I'm not really sure what to call them, the front looks like sandals and the back, well I'm not too sure about that. It would be an ideal shoe for one that wished to have warm ankles and colder toes. I don't recommend wearing these out in the summer because of the awkward tan lines that might occur. The designer of theses shoes, Che Che Chin from 80%20, calls them peep-toes, but how would one describe the rest of the shoe. It's not quite a sandal, but it isn't a sneaker either.

I guess this is the style of a fashionista, but I'll pass on this one. If you dare rock this unique pair of footwear, you probably won't be imitated. For those who might really like these they start at about $128 [apparently even ugly footwear isn't cheap] The retailer the designer recommends is Urban Outfitters. They come in about five different colors; black, grey, blue, orange, and yellow.
All of you normal people tell me what you think about these...

Are these flip flops??

Ok, so I had to ask, are these considered flip flops? I guess you could say so.

Well anyways Sanuk [a flip flop company] heard the many cries of tanners of the world complaining about the ugly tan lines flip flops create. So they created these. They call them "Ibiza" [weird name right?] Apparently if you alternate between these and regular flip flops at the beach, you won't get those ugly tan lines on your feet.
I've seen them in these two colors, green/blue and pink. But on their website they have them in black, brown and blue. The best thing besides avoiding tan lines is their great price, at around $17. They are available online as well as in stores.

Smoking Hot, Nike Blazers.

Now for some of you this may be a first sighting, but don't be fooled Nike Blazers have been around the block a few times. They are one of the many classics Nike still has in production. [Along with the Air Force One's and Dunks of course] They collaborate these shoes about as much as any other Nike shoe. With clothing brands, food brands and the like. Unlike many shoes on the market, Blazers, have very thick soles. You could stick one of those pins in there and you would never feel it. They come in low top, mid, and high top varieties.
Like all purchase able items these have a price! And they start at about $325 [for extremely rare special editions] to about $65 [on sale] I don't know anyone who wears them, so if you like them you would truly be and individual. You can find them anywhere Nike products are sold. So the best choice would be to go to the Nike store.
If you really like them check them out here: Blazers

Maximum Air w/ Air Max 90's

I went shoe shopping yesterday with my friend and I saw these, and I thought 'what a perfect shoe to blog about.' Air Max 90's are some of my favorite shoes. With their classic look, they are impossible not to love. These were one of the first pairs of Nike's to have a visible air pocket. In 1978 nobody thought that this shoe would become the icon that it now is. I've yet to get these shoes as well, but as soon as this recession is over [or I get my stimulus check, which ever comes first] I shall be buying a pair.

If you've worn Nike's before you know that comfort comes first, it's no different with the Air Max 90's. They come in so many different colors it's like you are choosing from an infinite rainbow. As with all Nike's these come with a hefty price tag at $490 [for extremely rare colors or quick releases] to $70 [ which is about the average price] They can be found at any Foot Locker, Champs, and sometimes at Underground Station.
It you like these go to: Nike and click on Nike Sportswear, from there it will take you to their selection of Air Max 90's.

Tasty Pastries!

These my dear readers are Pastry's, and my do they look delicious. Their creators are Vanessa and Angela Simmons, daughters of the famous Reverend Run, and the nieces of Richard Simmons. When they realized that their uncles brand had nothing specifically for the ladies, they invented Pastries. A nice fashionable shoe dedicated to all the ladies. The creative thing about this brand is that all the styles are food names. For example; Glam Pie, Fab Cookie, Smore, and Secret Sundae.

I've never actually seen people wear these, so I you buy them you sould be truly unique. They come in a variety of colors to match a good portion of your closet. They range from about $65-$90. [not that bad a price for the quality they have] These are the perfect shoes if you want to emulate Angela and Vanessa Simmons.

Oh Yeah Reeboks!

Reebok's, what can't I say about these shoes. Not a personal favorite of mine, but i love how they manage to stay in the sneaker world by consistently being individuals. They are most popular with those of the dancing variety, i.e. people from America's best dance crew. Supposedly they are flexible and allow for an array of movement. They also collaborate with many popular brands like Kool Aid [shown below] and they are also partnered with Jay-Z and G-Unit. Reebok's do their best work on specialized holiday color ways.
I tend not to like their styles, but if you do I happen to know where you can find them. They sell at and Foot Locker, Champs, Finish Line, Underground Station, etc. In fashionable sneakers they run on the cheaper side at about $30-$50 [only if they are for a special event]

Created by the one and only Jordan.

These shoes are often imitated, but never ever duplicated. They were created by arguably the best basketball player in recent history Michael Jordan. This brand has over 23 different styles, which are numbered accordingly, for his famous number 23. All of these shoes were created for use on the basketball court, but as Jordan's fame grew, his shoes moved further and further onto the fashion side. They usually appeared in his teams colors, but he often released other colorways. Not only does Jordan Brand have twenty-three pairs of main line shoes, they also have many other models. Such as; Six Rings, Dub Zeros, Spiz'ikes, and Fusions. [which are a mix of classic Jordans and air force ones]

Of the shoes that Jordan has released in previous years many of them are very difficult to find. For example the original Air Jordan 7's. As a ploy to increase their popularity, Jordan brand only released shoes twice a year, but now every couple of years or so they re-release shoes in original and new colors. They call this retro-ing and often they change slight details on the shoes. Jordans cost anywhere from $75-$2000. [yes, i know that's kinda ridiculous] Save up your money and buy the shoes that look like the shoes that a legend once wore.
If you really like them check out their website: Air Jordan
They can be found at any Foot Locker, Champs, Finishline.

Slam Dunks!

No, I didn't make a post about the same shoes twice. These my friends are nike dunks. Although very similar to their brand mates the Air Force Ones, Dunks are very very different shoes. They like Air Force Ones are also created for special events. Unlike their brand mates they are more highly favored with skaters. Being so popular with the skaters Nike had a brilliant idea to create a style more specified for their sport. Thus the Nike Dunks SB evolved.

Nike does an excellent job with these shoes listening to everyones opinions about them. Women complained about how the fit was the same for all sexes and Nike retaliated by creating The skinny dunks. Essentially they are the same Dunks just with a tighter fit at the top. [which means that now they can be worn with skinny jeans, hence the name skinny dunks] If you really want to get creative you can even design your own pair with Nikeid. Pick your own fabrics and colors.

They come in low top and high top styles. There prices range from about $40-$1,000. [big jump in prices i know]

Super Supra's

Supra's are some pretty stylish shoes, regardless of what you think. They started out as skate shoes, but slowly merged their way into fashion. They have about eleven different styles as a brand, my personal favorites are the Skytops [above]and the Vaiders.[below] These shoes are very popular with celebrities such as; Lil Wayne, Kanye West, T.I., etc. From lovers of the brand I've heard that the shoes for skating are very comfortable. Their non-skate line are very trendy and can match any outfit.

Supra's range in price from $50-$120, so if you want these save up a little[we are in a recession] They often collaborate with famous skaters such as Eric Ellington, Chad Muska, Antwuan Dixon, Terry Kennedy, Jim Greco, etc. So if you want to be like your favorite skater, Supra's can help you get there. They sell in seasons, so on their website they are broken up into spring, summer, holiday, etc.

It you like Supra's check out their website.

Get Cr8tive!

Many of you may have never heard of or even seen these shoes. So I'm guessing it's time for a little introduction. [lolz] They have been featured in numerous magazines, such as; Complex, Maxim, Vanity Fair, and Vogue. They truly represent their namesake, because of all the shoes that I've seen[that's a lot by the way] none are that close in comparison. They have many variations, one to fit every ones style. The most popular styles of the brand are Ceasario's and Dicoco's [funny names i know]  Ceasario's are your basic mid-tops.[pictured to your left]  Dicoco's are mid-tops as well and have two straps at the top. [pictured below]

Cr8tive Recreations are available  in men, women, and even kids sizes. Their price tag is a bit high, as it ranges from $80-$140. But style has never been cheap, so it's worth the price. If you want to wear a shoe that no one else has than these are the answer. Personally I don't have any of these shoes [I'm currently working on it] Of all the shoes these are a pair that really show how Cr8tive you are.

If you really like them check out their website: Cr8tive Recreation

Let's skate around in some vans

Vans are most popular with the skaters they were created for, but are now crossing the trend line and can be seen on many peoples feet. The most popular of all vans are the classic slip-ons. There ability to stay on the wearers foot even through vigorous activity. Which is probably why they are so popular with skaters. I've also heard that vans are extremely comfortable. Which is always a plus with footwear.

These classic shoes come in every color. They easily compliment your outfit, if you know how to match of course. They often collaborate with bands, and other artists in exclusive releases. Some bands include Slayer, Johnny Ramone, and several collaborations with Iron Maiden. These shoes are a classic just like converse and with their simple look they will be staying in that category for a while.

Flip Flops!

Flips Flops are often associated with relaxation, the beach, and Floridians in general. On any given day at Cypress you will see at least twenty people wearing flip flops. The most popular kind of flips flops are most likely the thong variety. Even guys wear these. Personally I don't think they are that comfortable, after a while the thong starts to dig into that space in the middle of my toes. But apparently many people enjoy wearing them.

I find it absolutely hilarious when I see people wearing Flip Flops when it is extremely cold outside. You would think that people would know how to dress according to the weather conditions, but apparently not. Some people try to cover their feet by putting on socks with the flip flops. It's not a good look, even for the old men that try and pull it off. Another not so pretty thing is that if you walk around in dirt a lot, all of that dirt starts to get on the soles of your foot, really really gross.

Converse...I know you all love them.

This shoe is often imitated, but never ever duplicated, it is the classic everyone know and loves, Converse. Almost everyone has at least one pair of converse, they are a simple element that can complete and outfit. This shoe has been in existence for over 100 years. I believe everyone likes them because they are available in so many different colors. They are available in every color imaginable, even ones that you wouldn't think of. If you can think of an outfit you can probably find at least one pair of Converse to match.

Their popularity is driven by their simplicity. Also the fact that they allow for individuality, while still continuing to be a part of a group. People even write little anecdotes on the sides.  I predict that Converse will remain a timeless classic, connecting those old and young. They have a quality that everyone expects, but no one is disappointed.  Plus they are just really cute.
